Day 1

Travel

Arrive in Krakow, Poland and transfer to the Sheraton Grand Krakow.  ​We will have our traditional "Welcome Meeting" in the evening.

​Czestochowa & Jasna Góra

Enjoy a leisurely morning and a nice brunch at the hotel before leaving to visit the Jasna Gora Monastery for the day.  This locale is featured in The Warsaw Protocol and we’ll see all of the nooks and crannies that appear in the story.

Day 3
​April 4, 2023
​Wieliczka Salt Mine

Following breakfast, we will begin our tour of the Wieliczka Salt Mine.  An incredible World Heritage site, (and you know what happens with Cotton Malone and those!)  The mine forms the backdrop for the climax of  The Warsaw Protocol and our guide, Patrycja, is a character in the story.  Enjoy a free late afternoon and evening.

Day 4

Wawel Royal Castle
​& Cathedral Museum

Enjoy breakfast and a free morning.  Lunch will be at one of Steve's favorite restaurants, the Pod Aniolami.  In the afternoon we will visit the Wawel Royal Castle and Cathedral Museum.  Both the restaurant and the castle appear in the novel.  We’ll see all the places Cotton visits.

Day 5

​Choose Your Own Adventure!

Today you will have four different options:  Steve will be visiting the Camaldolese Monastery, which appears in The Warsaw Protocol (sorry, this activity is for men only per monastery rules);  Liz & Kathleen will be hosting a Food and Wine tour of Krakow;  Brad will be taking interested visitors on a Jewish Heritage tour; or you can strike out on your own.  Free time that evening.

​Ojcow National Park &
​Ogrodzieniec "The Witcher" Castle

Today we will visit Ojcow National Park and the incredible Ogrodzieniec Castle.
Our traditional Farewell Dinner will take place in the evening.
