Itinerary
Day 1 – Monday
Aug. 17, 2026
Stockholm
Today, you will arrive in beautiful Stockholm and journey to the hotel. We
will have our traditional "Welcome Meeting" and dinner in the evening.
Following dinner, we will enjoy our first presentation by the brilliant Lucy
Worsley.
Day 2 - Tuesday
Aug. 18, 2026
Stockholm
Nobel Peace Prize Museum,
Royal Palaces
Following breakfast at the hotel, we will join Lucy and our local guide for a
full-day city tour of Stockholm. We will see the picturesque City Hall, visit
the Hotorget Market, the Royal Swedish Opera and more! Our tour will
take us through Gamla Stan, the city’s old town, best known for it’s
amazing food and unique shopping experiences. Among its many sites, we
will see there are the Parliament building, and the beautiful Storkyrkan
(Stockholm Cathedral) home to famous wooden sculptures of St. George
and the Dragon, as well as the haunting Parhelion painting depicting an
atmospheric event that took place over Stockholm in April 1535.
Later, we will break for lunch. You will have time to eat and explore or do
some shopping.
Next, we will visit the Nobel Prize Museum and the Royal Palace where the
King of Sweden resides today. It contains over 600 rooms.
This evening, we will enjoy dinner together and more time with Lucy.
Day 3 - Wednesday
Aug. 19, 2026
Stockholm
Drottningholm Palace
After breakfast, we board our coach and go to the pier for a one-way cruise
from to Drottningholm Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the
1600s.
Following our visit, we will return to Stockholm where we bid a fond farewell
to Lucy before she returns to London. You will have the rest of the day free
to continue your exploration of Stockholm.
Lunch and dinner are on your own.
Day 4 - Thursday
Aug. 20, 2026
Djurgarden, the Vasa,
& ABBA
Stockholm
Today, we visit the island of Djurgarden with its historic buildings and
monuments.
Later, we will visit the incredible Vasa Museum, the home of the warship,
Vasa from 1628 that has been perfectly preserved. From there, we go to
the Skansen open-air museum containing historical buildings, crafts, from
around Sweden. You can explore at your own pace.
Lunch is on your own.
Next, we’re off to the ABBA Museum where you will see recreations of the
homes and studios of the band. You will learn the history and even have
the opportunity to perform with Hologram ABBA!
When finished, we return to the hotel. Dinner is on your own.
Day 5 - Friday
Aug. 21, 2026
Gustavberg Porcelain Museum
Stockholm
This morning, we take a quick walk to the pier and enjoy a tour of the
Gustavberg Porcelain Museum, followed by an Archipelago Cruise.
Lunch will be onboard the cruise.
Later, we return to Stockholm where you will enjoy a bit of free time. In the
evening we will have our “Farewell Dinner”.
Day 6 - Saturday
Aug. 22, 2026
Stockholm
Leave for home
We will transfer to the airport for our return trip home, taking with us
connections to new friends and memories of a wonderful
